5 — Forstner Komfit “JB” Mesh Watch Bracelet with Horned Ends
Forstner was founded in the 1920s in New Jersey. In 1939 they introduced the Komfit watch strap, which allowed the buckle and clasp to move along the length of the strap, and then be secured once the proper fit was located. The flexibility in fit that this mechanism created made them first choice for many NASA astronauts, and these straps were used with Omega Speedmasters for Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Space Shuttle missions.
